My motto is Omnia Tempus Habent; Latin for “everything has its time”, taken from the book of Ecclesiastes. I like it for several reasons. At a personal level, it speaks to the importance of taking the time to truly understand things; not that time is unlimited, but that each thing deserves its proper moment. It also resonates with my research, where seasonality and the rhythms of the natural world are never far from the picture.
